New Music – 14 Miles of Bad Road!
New music is here! The first new single release is “14 Miles of Bad Road!” Check it on Spotify at https://open.spotify.com/track/0KgrkOD1Zgg8Z1K2ZPdRoN?si=2dd83edf890b4a1c, or on Apple Music, Amazon, Pandora, etc.
“14 Miles of Bad Road” is a bad ass rock and roll story that builds on guitar with a sneaky organ and and a bluesy vibe. We’ve got a counterpoint singing in the chorus and a wild fuzz guitar solo circling a wishful reminiscing and lost hope.
Check it right here!
With Scott Dailey on guitar, vocals and bass, Lauren Johnson on drums, and me on vocals and keyboards, “14 Miles of Bad Road” was recorded at Inner Door Music and Pearl Sound Studio, mixed by Scott Dailey and Carolyn Striho and mastered at Third Man Records Cass Corridor/Detroit.
And more releases coming in April, May and June culminating in a new album this year. Join us with a bigger bog update and more treats soon – new shows, and new video, too. Many thanks for listening – Happy Spring
xLove,
Carolyn

“Love the colour of your heartfelt voice, lovely intro on ‘Cornered Room’ great song! ‘Let It Go’ another favourite of mine, nice rapping, and love the gypsy feel on ‘Russian Inn’ beautiful violinist. Stunning album, love it”
Striho continues to share her brilliance, effortlessly moving from bluesy and jazzy to belted out rock & roll. Her latest release, Afterthought, showcases all of these styles, along with a few more that might surprise people. The musical poetry is undeniably Striho however, and she manages to pull everything together with the ease of a seasoned pro and the flair of a master illusionist. She makes her own creative path and people can’t help but follow where she leads…
“Afterthought moves through a host of musical moods, from the moodier, darker vibe of the opening title track to exotic gypsy-rock feel of “Russian Inn” to the lively, driving sound of “Love Won’t Stay Close” which you can hear exclusively for now in this Freep First Spin debut.”
