May Music
It’s May and we’re honored to have received 4 Detroit Music Awards for 2022. Thank you for the nominations and congratulations to the winners and nominees, and all those who make music and art.
We had a great show at The Congregation in Detroit and are continuing shows in Detroit with the 3rd one this year. It’s a very hot show together again with Vinnie and The Orbitsuns! We’re returning to great Detroit spot The Cadieux Café Saturday night May 14th with Scott Dailey on guitar and vocals, Jason Charboneau on cello, Lauren Johnson on drums, Sam Copperman on bass and I’ll be on vocals, keyboard and guitar. We’ll be doing some of our new songs and favorites. Sure hope you can come out to enjoy the night! We have cool prizes of goodies and rare merch! All the details, tickets and address here at:

There is a lot of unrest with the Supreme Court wanting to take control of women’s health and privacy. This is very bad news. And the war in Ukraine continues. With prayers for peace, love, equal rights and hope, we remain strong. Later into summer, we have some more shows planned that are quite awesome – more details soon! And with a touch of love and spring, many thanks for supporting live music, we’re looking forward to a great big summer hopefully of love and peace.
Love,
Carolyn

“Love the colour of your heartfelt voice, lovely intro on ‘Cornered Room’ great song! ‘Let It Go’ another favourite of mine, nice rapping, and love the gypsy feel on ‘Russian Inn’ beautiful violinist. Stunning album, love it”
Striho continues to share her brilliance, effortlessly moving from bluesy and jazzy to belted out rock & roll. Her latest release, Afterthought, showcases all of these styles, along with a few more that might surprise people. The musical poetry is undeniably Striho however, and she manages to pull everything together with the ease of a seasoned pro and the flair of a master illusionist. She makes her own creative path and people can’t help but follow where she leads…
“Afterthought moves through a host of musical moods, from the moodier, darker vibe of the opening title track to exotic gypsy-rock feel of “Russian Inn” to the lively, driving sound of “Love Won’t Stay Close” which you can hear exclusively for now in this Freep First Spin debut.”
