December Holidays !
December and the Holidays are here!
We just had a fabulous show in December at Detroit’s Cadieux Cafe with our band, The Carolyn Striho Group, and Scott Dailey and I are being featured with many Detroit bands on NBC/WDIV Channel 4 Live in the D Christmas Special, being broadcast right near Christmas. Broadcast date coming soon !
I also have been asked to perform for Girls Rock Detroit and their holiday concert fundraiser on Friday night, December 22nd, at 630 pm with a great lineup of Michigan and Detroit musicians, songwriters/singers and performers. Join us in downtown Detroit at The Tin Roof Detroit club (next to Comerica Park) on 12/22/23 for a big night with young teens joining us with singing as well! More details here at https://www.girlsrockdetroit.org
The year is ending and we DO have the new music here. It’s coming out in 2024, as we couldn’t quite make the deadline this month. However, it does sound so good that we are really excited and honored for you to hear it in a month or so! And thanks to everyone involved! I’m glad to have my new material out soon, and Scott and I have worked in the studio again recently with more writing.
I promise a longer update and the next ones will be including new music – soon!
Love, and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and stay healthy xx

“Love the colour of your heartfelt voice, lovely intro on ‘Cornered Room’ great song! ‘Let It Go’ another favourite of mine, nice rapping, and love the gypsy feel on ‘Russian Inn’ beautiful violinist. Stunning album, love it”
Striho continues to share her brilliance, effortlessly moving from bluesy and jazzy to belted out rock & roll. Her latest release, Afterthought, showcases all of these styles, along with a few more that might surprise people. The musical poetry is undeniably Striho however, and she manages to pull everything together with the ease of a seasoned pro and the flair of a master illusionist. She makes her own creative path and people can’t help but follow where she leads…
“Afterthought moves through a host of musical moods, from the moodier, darker vibe of the opening title track to exotic gypsy-rock feel of “Russian Inn” to the lively, driving sound of “Love Won’t Stay Close” which you can hear exclusively for now in this Freep First Spin debut.”
